Product key or Gift card activation on Nintendo (Switch)

1. In order to activate your Product key or Gift Card on Nintendo website, first, you need to log into your Nintendo account (You can create one here). The quickest way is to follow this link: ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/ but just in case, you can find a manual path to the redeem page below.

2. Once logged in, click on your username and select ‘Settings’ as shown in the picture below.

3. After you are taken to the Settings page, select “Shop menu” on the left side.

4. Once there, select “Add funds” and then ‘Prepaid code’. 
5. Copy the Activation Key and paste it in the Code field, then click ‘Next’.

Instructions for Manual Download by Nintendo Device: Nintendo Switch: 1.  If you haven’t already, set up an internet connection on your Nintendo Switch system. 2.  Make sure your Nintendo Switch system has the latest system update. 3.  From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, select the Nintendo eShop icon. 4.  Select “Enter Code.” Enter the code shown above exactly as shown. 5.  Enter your download code and click “Send.”

Nintendo 3DS: 1.  From the HOME Menu on the Nintendo 3DS™ system, select the Nintendo eShop icon. 2.  Select “Settings/Other”, then select “Redeem Download Code”. 3.  Tap “Enter a download code”. 4.  Use the touch screen to enter the download code and tap “Ok”. 5.  Tap “Ok” again. 6.  Select “Download Later” or “Download Now”. Items downloaded now will begin immediately. Items downloaded later will begin when the system enters sleep mode or while browsing the Nintendo eShop.

WiiU: 1.  Create or log in to your existing WiiU Nintendo Network Account. 2.  From the HOME menu on the Nintendo WiiU system, select the Nintendo eShop Icon. 3.  Tap “Enter Download Code.” 4.  Enter the code shown above exactly as shown. 5.  Items will begin to download immediately.

Please note Wi-Fi connection required to redeem download code. Download codes may only be redeemed once and cannot be redeemed on multiple systems. Download codes do not expire. The code is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as displayed.
